Gina Isaac

For Frequency Theatre: ACTOR

Gina trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Since graduating, Gina has enjoyed a variety of roles for the Mercury Theatre Company which have included Jennie Beales in Roots, Marge in Absent Friends, Beatrice in A View from the Bridge, Sarah in The Lover, various characters in Under Milk Wood, Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet, Cathy in The Lifesavers, Mrs Copperfield / Agnes in David Copperfield, the Journalist in Accidental Death of an Anarchist, a variety of roles in TWO, Calpurnia / Metellus / Octavius in Julius Caesar, Bronagh in Small Miracle, Queenie in Three Heads in the Well, Viola in Twelfth Night, Clare/Marion in Road, Mayella Ewell in To Kill a Mockingbird, three characters in Slammers II, Ann Deever in All My Sons, Irena in Three Sisters, Isobella in The White Devil and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet.

Other theatre work includes Elizabeth Sandry in The Grapes of Wrath (Chichester), Yvette in Mother Courage (English Touring Theatre), Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Stafford Open Air Shakespeare Festival), Jo Hasslett in Belly (Old Red Lion, London), Perdita in The Winter’s Tale (Salisbury Playhouse), Queen Elizabeth in Richard III (Stafford Open Air Shakespeare Festival), and Jessica in Hysteria (Bolton Octagon) for which she was nominated as Best Newcomer in the Manchester Evening News Awards.

Gina’s film and television work includes Walking with Shadows, The Queens Lover, Holby City, Fast Girls, EastEnders, Pretending to be Judith, Casualty, Men Only, The Bill, London Bridge, A Dream Date With … and for radio; The Father Gilbert Mysteries.
